The Environment Agency issued a Flood Alert at 1455 on Monday 25th Nov 2019 containing the following information:
Tuesday morning’s tide at 10:16 on 26/11/2019 and 12:03 on 26/11/2019 is higher than normal due to unsettled weather with strong Southerly Force 6 winds. The weather increases tide table values by 0.37 m. The forecast tide is 5.18 metres Chart Datum …at Southampton. For 1 hour either side of high water, minor impact flooding will affect; the lower floor level of Eling Tide Mill and boat yards at Bursledon. Road and car park flooding will occur at The Quay Hamble, Rising Sun Pub Warsash, Magazine Lane at Marchwood, Shore Road and Promenade, Hythe. At Testwood the tide will come close to property situated nearest the estuary. At 10:56 on Wednesday 27/11/2019‚ the forecast tide will be even higher. We’ll issue further advice tomorrow. At Priory Road, residents may wish to install flood protection 1 hour before high tide. We continue to monitor the forecast. We will update this message by 15:00 on 26/11/2019
